Working internationally and concerned about child protection? GCPS can help...
Children worldwide are at risk of violence, abuse and exploitation. Agencies in contact with children must identify protection risks and issues and do what they can through their programmes to minimise these. Staff and associates can also pose a risk to children, so agencies have a responsibility to keep children safe and do no harm in working with them.
Support for agencies
GCPS provides a comprehensive range of supports and services to organisations working internationally in development and emergencies contexts. GCPS can help review, evaluate and improve child protection programming and develop or strengthen safeguardinging measures to keep children safe from harm.
GCPS is working with Girl Hub (Nike Foundation & DFID) to produce a major programming resource for ensuring 'girl safety' and is also capacity building Child Protection Networks in Nigeria on case management for UNICEF
GCPS is currently working with DFID's Girl Education Challenge Fund, Oak Foundation, and International Planned Parenthood Federation to strengthen child safeguarding
